The Brothers Cazimero will appear at 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, at the Palace Theater in downtown Hilo.
The legendary Hawaiian music duo was slated to appear in May, but the show was cancelled because of an illness that caused Roland Cazimero to collapse onstage during a show on Maui.
“We were so disappointed when we had to cancel their earlier concert because of an illness, but now they’re back,” said Board of Directors President Wendy Peskin.
Both brothers will appear with dancers from Robert’s Halau Na Kamalei.
“Having members of Robert’s halau dance will give life to their words and enhance their music,” said Morgen Bahurinsky, the Palace’s operations director. “In addition, Robert, an accomplished pianist, will also perform on the Palace Theater’s grand piano.”
With 20 years of Na Hoku Hanohano awards together and many more individually, the Cazimeros were inducted into the Hawaiian Music Hall of Fame in 2006.
Ticket prices range from $30-$50 in advance, and $35-$50 the day of the show and are available 10 a.m.-3 p.m. daily at the Palace box office or by calling 934-7010.
